It seems like one more Bollywood film is headed straight for streaming. Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ was awaiting release as the film was nearly complete just before the lockdown. Fans were expecting another gem from director Shoojit Sarkar, keeping in mind his track record of ‘October’, ‘Vicky Donor’ and ‘Piku’. Since theatres are closed and there’s no news of reopening them anytime soon, some filmmakers are taking the OTT route to reach audiences. The makers of ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ too are contemplating the same. The film reportedly will directly hit a OTT platform instead of getting a full-fledged theatrical release. The Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ too is said to release straight to digital.
