The much-anticipated unveiling of ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ has stumbled into controversy even before audiences could get a glimpse its trailer. Actor Varun Dhawan headlines the project guided by dad / director David Dhawan with Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde joining the cast. What was announced as a simple technical glitch has quickly spiralled into speculation about deeper troubles. Industry chatter points to a courtroom clash involving producer Vashu Bhagnani, his banner Pooja Entertainment and Tips Music Limited. At the heart of the dispute lies the film’s title borrowed from a track in the 1999 comedy ‘Biwi No 1’ which Bhagnani had produced with David Dhawan helming it. Legal orders currently in place appear to restrict promotional activity, raising doubts about when the trailer or even the film itself can move forward. Meanwhile, the release calendar has been anything but steady. Initially set for June 5th, then postponed to June 12th, the film was later rescheduled to June 4th, a date already crowded by Yash’s ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown Ups’. The shifting timelines and legal entanglements have left the project in a haze of uncertainty with fans waiting to see if the film can overcome its mounting obstacles.
