While in real life Salman Khan did his bit to free Sarabjit Singh from Pakistan prison, in the reel life biopic, the actor’s presence has been chopped off. Director Omung Kumar reasons, “‘Sarbjit’ has a lot of important incidents which had to be included. Since we had to showcase the entire 23 years of his journey in two hours, we could not include a few of them. Hence this part (Salman Khan’s) is not included in the film.” The more obvious reason could be the presence of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who plays the role of Sarabjit Singh’s sister Dalbir Kaur in the movie.
