Netflix will unveil ‘Ikka’ on July 10th, a courtroom drama directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and featuring Sunny Deol alongside Akshaye Khanna. Reflecting on the project, Malhotra remarked, “As a storyteller, I’m always looking for stories that challenge me emotionally and creatively, and ‘Ikka’ has been one such journey. I’ve always been a huge fan of courtroom dramas and this is a subject that has been incredibly close to my heart for many years.” He revealed that ‘Ikka’ was among the earliest concepts he envisioned for the screen. The narrative introduces Sunny Deol as a renowned lawyer who must confront unresolved history when Akshaye Khanna’s character resurfaces, forcing him into a case that tests his convictions. Tillotama Shome and Dia Mirza also join the ensemble adding depth to the unfolding legal conflict. The release carries added significance as it marks Sunny Deol’s first appearance in the streaming space.
