Irrfan was much applauded for his recent release ‘Piku’ which gave a lot of importance to its leading lady Piku. While the film is receiving a lot of praise, the actor expressed that women-centric films are the way to go. “Filmmakers are making more and more women-oriented films, in a much more entertaining way. It reflects our time. These films are definitely working. Women in today’s age are multi-talented and multi-faceted. Hence the films are also much more entertaining and engaging,” said Irrfan. In the past actresses like Vidya Balan and Kangna Ranaut have set the bar for women oriented subjects in Bollywood.
