Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s production house is reportedly going to back ace lyricist Irshad Kamil’s debut as a director. Irshad is keen to don the director’s hat and has also written the screenplay for a movie. The singer is popular for his romantic numbers in films like ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘Aashiqui’, hence it comes as no surprise that he plans to direct a romantic film. Irshad has already started approaching some big names to be a part of his romantic saga. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Irshad Kamil both are yet to come out in the open to talk about the latter’s directorial debut.
