After wrapping up work on Mira Nair’s series ‘A Suitable Boy’, Ishaan Khatter has signed another project. Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother was last seen in ‘Dhadak’ and his upcoming ‘Khaali Peeli’ with Ananya Pandey is in the works. Ishaan has now been roped in by producers Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur to work in ‘Pippa’. He will play the role of a war veteran in this 1971 battle drama under the guidance of director Raja Krishna Menon. The always cheerful, Ishaan says, “It’s an incredible honour to step into the shoes of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. As we are about to celebrate the spirit of independence, the team is coming together for a visual celebration of love, humanity and India in ‘Pippa’!” The film is based on Brigadier Mehta’s book, The Burning Chaffees.
