Prabhas’ futuristic-mythological sci-fi epic ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is causing quite a stir. According to reports, it took in over Rs 1 crore in advance bookings within a mere 24 hours. Boasting a star-studded cast including Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Dulquer Salmaan, the film is set to make its grand debut in the USA on June 26th followed by a wide release on June 27th. The eagerly awaited trailer is scheduled to release on June 10th. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie’s initial glimpse was unveiled at San Diego Comic Con last year, with the notable presence of Kamal Haasan and Rana Daggubati. With it’s USA premiere slated for June 26th, the anticipation for the film is palpable. The advance booking frenzy has already commenced with select screens witnessing an overwhelming response. In just 24 hours, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has garnered nearly 4,200 ticket sales amounting to approximately $1,35,000 (Rs 1.1 crore). With bookings currently available in 116 theater locations, the buzz surrounding the film is poised to escalate as the release date draws closer especially with the further unveiling of trailers and songs.
