The sci-fi epic ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has surged to become North America’s third highest-grossing Indian film overtaking Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ ($15.23 million) and SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ ($15.15 million). With earnings surpassing $16 million, the film follows only Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’. Director Nag Ashwin’s ambitious project featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and Deepika Padukone has also crossed the Rs 500 crore mark in India within just 11 days, signaling its unstoppable momentum. Notably, the Telugu film has transformed North America into its largest market, reflecting the language’s growing influence with over 1 million native speakers. It now stands as the third highest-grossing Indian film in the region, trailing only ‘Pathaan’ ($17.45 million) and ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ ($22 million). ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ climbed to the third position on its 10th day, amassing $1,55,46,885 by day’s end and continues to draw audiences by adding another $4,31,000 by early evening on its 11th day to surpass $16 million in total earnings.
