Kangana Ranaut won the National Award for the Best Actress for her two films ‘Panga’ and ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ at the 67th National Film Awards held in 2021. This made her fourth National Award, perhaps making it an ideal birthday gift. And as Kangana celebrates her 34th birthday today, makers of her upcoming film ‘Thalaivi’ released the trailer. ‘Thalaivi’ is a biopic on the South-Indian politician and a huge figure, J Jayalalithaa. Kangana plays the lead in the film whereas Arvind Swamy will be seen in a Hindi film after long time as he accompanies the actress in ‘Thalaivi’. Within a few hours of the trailer release, it garnered millions of views on YouTube. As preparations of the film, Kangana had gained 20 kilograms to look like Jayalalithaa in ‘Thalaivi’.
