South remakes are ruling the roost, thanks to Shahid Kapoor’s massive hit ‘Kabir Singh’, which is a remake of Vijay Deverakonda-starrer ‘Arjun Reddy’. Owing to the huge success of ‘Kabir Singh’, Shahid has reportedly hiked his fees for his next flick, another remake of South film ‘Jersey’. Buzz suggests that the actor has demanded a whopping Rs 40 crore for the project! On the other hand, Karan Johar has bought the rights of Vijay’s upcoming film ‘Dear Comrade’. The Dharma Productions scion has announced to remake the film in Hindi, even before the original hits the screens! KJo has already watched the movie and is yet to announce the cast for this Hindi remake.
