Karan Johar is of the opinion that Indian filmmakers should give more importance to its scriptwriters. He said, “‘Hindi cinema is weak on its writing department. We need to pull up our socks. We need to empower our writers which we don’t. When we start doing that, we will make greater films.” The filmmaker also added that if the content is good then it will definitely be recognized by the audiences, “It just goes on to show that an audience eventually may not come in hoards on Day 1, but you give them a great film and your weekend will be back. There’s no doubt about that.”
