The idea of breathing new life into Raj Kapoor Studios (RK Studios) has stirred curiosity for a while with whispers that Ranbir Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor might take on the responsibility of restoring the family’s cinematic landmark. Kareena Kapoor however, has put an end to the chatter. At an event, she told ETimes that the speculation was unfounded and had even sparked amusement among her relatives, “That’s just not true. It was even being discussed in our family group, and everyone was like, ‘This isn’t happening.’ I feel people really want it to happen. Ranbir is focused on acting. He loves acting. I think he’s the best actor in India we have today. So his focus is on that. It’s heartbreaking, but it’s not happening. Maybe Lolo and Ranbir should think about it because I can’t think like a director or a producer.” While the studio revival remains a dream for fans, Kareena herself is immersed in her craft, currently working with Meghna Gulzar on the film ‘Daayra’.
