Akshay Kumar is on a roll, with his latest release ‘Kesari’ making big noise at the box office. The film recorded the highest opening figure for the first quarter of 2019 with Rs 21.06 crore on Day 1. The film went on to make another Rs 16.70 crore on Friday and 18.75 crore on Saturday, marking a total of Rs 56.51 crore in three days of its release. The period drama has emerged popular in metros and is expected to rake in Rs 80 crore at the end of its first week. Produced by Karan Johar, ‘Kesari’ is based on the historic Battle of Saragarhi.
