‘Laapataa Ladies’ Wins Big At IIFA

March 8th and 9th saw the dazzling return of the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA Awards) for its 25th edition. The celebration began with the IIFA Digital Awards 2025 on March 8th, culminating in the main event on Sunday. The star-studded affair was alive with performances from the biggest names in Bollywood. This year, the ceremony paid homage to the legendary film ‘Sholay’ on its 50th anniversary. Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit Nene delivered an unforgettable performance, while Kareena Kapoor Khan honoured her grandfather, the iconic filmmaker Raj Kapoor, marking his century in the world of cinema. The evening also recognized the best talents in Hindi cinema. ‘Laapataa Ladies’ was awarded Best Picture, Kartik Aaryan was honoured as Best Actor and Nitanshi Goel received the Best Actress accolade.
