Anupam Shyam Ojha, who acted in films like ‘Lagaan’ and ‘Satya’, passed away today at the age of 63. The veteran died due to multiple organ failure. Anupam was admitted to a Mumbai hospital last week for treatment of a kidney infection but could not survive the therapy as his organs gave way one after the other in a very short span of time. Apart from ‘Lagaan’ and ‘Satya’, Anupam had also worked in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, ‘Bandit Queen’, ‘Dil Se’ and ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’ among others. One of his most notable performances was also in a TV show titled ‘Mann Ki Awaaz: Pratigya’, which aired in 2009. His Bollywood colleagues like Manoj Bajpayee, Ashoke Pandit, Shreyas Talpade and many others paid him tributes on various social networks.
