After a red carpet premiere in New Delhi attended by the cast and crew, Akshay Kumar’s first OTT release ‘Laxmii’ (Laxmmi Bomb), is ready to hit the small screens today. The horror-comedy also stars Kiara Advani and is now streaming on Hotstar. The film talks about an unsuspecting man whose body is taken over by a spirit. This is not just Akki’s first film on OTT, but also the biggest Bollywood film so far to release on any streaming platform after the coronavirus pandemic hit the world. This had put many filmmakers whose projects were ready in a tizzy and they had to move it to small screens. ‘Laxmii’ is the remake of the Tamil hit ‘Kanchana’ and both are directed by Raghava Lawrence. The film is produced by Akki’s Cape of Good Films, Fox Star Studios and Tusshar Kapoor.
