Anil Kapoor was recently conferred with the Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award by the Maharashtra government. Being elated on the occasion, Anil Kapoor said, “This award is a huge honor for me. I have been born and brought up in Maharashtra so it feels like our parents have given us this award. Since we were born here, we have got everything from the state. And it is even more pleasurable as the award is in Raj Saab’s name. I am his huge fan and have learnt a lot from watching him act in Bollywood films.” Apart from Anil Kapoor, veteran actor Jeetendra too was honored with the Raj Kapoor Lifetime Contribution Award.
