International megastar Akshay Kumar continues to be the leading name in India for helping to raise awareness about Covid-19 and helping those affected by the outbreak. This time, the Sooryavanshi star has teamed up with Dharavi Rappers to appear in a sensational music video on the pandemic and ways to stay safe.

Stay Home Stay Safe has become the latest symbol of India’s spirit of solidarity, battling against the Coronavirus pandemic. Produced by Divine’s Gully Gang Entertainment in collaboration with Mumbai rappers MC Altaf, 7Bantaiz and Dopeadelicz, the song features some of Bollywood’s biggest names, with Akshay Kumar being the first star to appear in the powerful video.

Joining Akshay Kumar in lip-syncing throughout the track are fellow Bollywood stars including Ajay Devgn, Suniel Shetty and Dia Mirza who all helped drive home the message of unity during the Coronavirus.

The message of the multilingual track is to act as a clarion call to bring everyone together for a common cause and help fight the virus which has so far recorded more than 49,000 cases and more than 1,600 deaths in India.

This is not the first time Akshay Kumar has used the power of music, with his latest appearance in the video highlighting his dedication to help those affected, especially in densely populated cities such as Mumbai where millions of lives are at risk.

The actor hosted the virtual concert Sangeet Setu in April, while he also launched the hit song #MuskurayegaIndia to boost morale and raise funds to help those affected. He then followed this with the special rendition of the soulful track Teri Mitti to thank healthcare workers on the frontline.

Akshay Kumar’s tireless efforts since the outbreak of the Coronavirus, has seen him be one of the first Indian celebrities to help in any way possible those who have been affected. As well as using music to spread positivity, he has also donated Rs 2.5 crore (£2.5 million) to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s PM-CARES FUND and has also extended his gratitude and thanks to India’s key service providers, including a round of applause which he shared with his 100mn+ followers.

The audio stream is available on several leading platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music.
