Madhur Bhandarkar took on the likes of Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta over a title issue. Madhur claimed that he had the title ‘Bollywood Wives’ in his possession. Karan on the other hand came out with ‘The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’ for an OTT platform which will go on air as of November 27th. This has upset the former to no end. Madhur said, “Dear, Karan Johar, you and Apoorva Mehta had asked me for the title ‘Bollywood Wives’ for web which I refused as my project is underway. It is morally and ethically wrong for you to tweak it to ‘The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’. Please do not dent my project. I humbly request you to change the title.” The issue has also escalated to the producers’ body IMPPA and they have sought an explanation from the OTT platform and Johar’s Dharma Productions.
