Madhuri Dixit has indeed replaced late actress Sridevi in Karan Johar’s next production venture, but the film in question is not ‘Shiddat’, clarifies KJo. The filmmaker shares, “Yes, we are honosred and humbled to have Madhuri Dixit on board for Abhishek Varman’s next! No, the film is not titled ‘Shidhat’,” calling the film as ‘Shidhat’ instead of the popularly and majorly known title ‘Shiddat’. The film in which Madhuri replaces Sridevi is set against the backdrop of partition and shooting will begin in mid-April. In the meantime, Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor had appreciated and acknowledged Madhuri for stepping in.
