Noted Bollywood actor-director Mahesh Manjrekar recently had a serious health scare. The celebrity was diagnosed with bladder cancer and had to undergo surgery. Manjrekar was treated at the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai about 10 days ago. The news of his ill health though was kept a very low key and the reports came out only this week. The actor is said to be recuperating well after the surgery and is out of danger. Manjrekar started acting with ‘Jeevan Sakha’ (Marathi) whereas his last film in theatres was ‘Dabangg 3’ where he played Sonakshi Sinha’s father in a brief role. His long journey in film, Manjrekar also dabbled in direction with hit films like ‘Aai’ and ‘Vaastav’ among others.
