Ajay Devgn plays a football coach in his upcoming film ‘Maidaan’. He will depict the life of football player, coach and manager Syed Abdul Rahim who was instrumental in making India a known name in the football world. The second schedule of ‘Maidaan’ was to begin from March 21st. The makers had erected a huge set in the form of a stadium at the cost of whopping Rs 7 crore. Now since all the shoots are on hold, the set remains unused and producers are incurring heavy losses. The set was mounted on such a large scale that it had makeup rooms, rest rooms and even production controls units. Boney Kapoor has produced the film jointly with Zee Studios.
