Bollywood thrives on sequels and remakes. Adding more to the list of such films, three yesteryear hits ‘Mili’ (1975), ‘Koshish’ (1972) and ‘Bawarchi’ (1972) will soon be remade. Although the cast and crew for any of these films are yet to be announced, production houses Jaadugar Films and Sameer Raj Sippy Productions that are backing the movies have already made inroads into their projects. “We are absolutely thrilled to be setting upon this magical journey of making three of our all-time favourite movies in a new form and mould. It is a huge responsibility as ‘Mili’, ‘Koshish’ and ‘Bawarchi’ are celebrated in India and across the globe. With these films, legends Gulzar Saab and Hrishida (Hrishikesh Mukherjee) have set the standards of filmmaking for generations to come,” said Anushree Mehta and Abir Sengupta of Jaadugar Films. All the classics talk about middle-class families of yesteryears and their daily struggles to lead a life.
