Mithun Chakraborty’s father Basantakumar Chakraborty passed away in Mumbai yesterday. He was 95. The actor is stationed in Bengaluru and hence wasn’t able to meet him one last time. Basantakumar was unwell for a long time due to his age. Mithun is trying hard to get to Mumbai to perform his father’s last rites even though the actor’s son Mimoh Chakraborty is said to be in the city. If he gets the required permission and mode of transportation during this lockdown period, the actor will immediately rush to the Maximum City. Mithun is an emotional person and was very attached to his father. Basantakumar is survived by his wife Santimoyee Chakraborty and son Mithun.
