New Jersey Foundation Hosts Star-Studded Fundraising Gala To Create Support System for South Asian Families Affected by Cancer

Award-winning actor and cancer survivor Lisa Ray, Fox News TV and radio personality, Vipp Jaswal, renowned fashion designer to the stars, Joy Mitra, and New York-based singer/songwriter, Falu Shah, ALL join forces with the SKN (Shri Krishna Nidhi) Foundation to help build a supportive care infrastructure for families battling cancer through the non-profit organization’s annual fundraising gala on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at the Marigold (315 Churchill Avenue) in Somerset, New Jersey.

Proceeds from the event will launch a South Asian Cancer Awareness Program, in collaboration with the Cancer Support Community of Central New Jersey, to support South Asian families dealing with and recovering from this life-threatening disease. “Our goal is to create an environment in which families are able to have positive experiences when one of their loved ones is diagnosed with cancer,” said Dr. Naveen Mehrotra, founder of the SKN Foundation, whose mission is to promote the total wellness of the person and the community through education.
