Director Ashutosh Gowariker returned to acting with Priyanka Chopra’s maiden Marathi production ‘Ventilator’. Gowariker has comeback as an actor after almost two decades. “I am returning to the silver screen after 18 years. The audiences have liked my previous films, so I hope people accept me once again as an actor,” says Ashutosh. Very few must be aware that Gowariker had refused to do ‘Ventilator’ as he was busy making his magnum opus ‘Mohenjo Daro’ with Hrithik Roshan. “I had no intention of becoming an actor again. I was happy being a director. But Rajesh (Mapuskar) came to me with the script and offered me this character. He even decided to wait for six months after which I finally agreed,” adds Gowariker.
