Zero’ is set for a release this Friday and the makers have taken a preventive measure to ensure the film’s smooth release. Since the Sikh community had raised objections regarding the use of kirpan, a holy dagger in the film, the makers of ‘Zero’ have altered the questioned content. An affidavit was filed on December 19 in the Bombay High Court to confirm that the scenes had been changed to depict an ornamental sword. In the petition filed against the film, it was stated that the kirpan holds historical and cultural importance to the Sikhs and can be worn only after converting to Sikhism.
