Pankaj Kapur was honoured with a doctorate degree in the Faculty of Visual and Performing Arts by the Guru Nanak Dev University, Punjab. And as he earned his PhD, son Shahid Kapoor wished him with, “Congratulations, dad! Dr Pankaj Kapur,” by sharing a picture on Instagram. Senior Kapur’s wife Supriya Pathak was in attendance at the 46th annual convocation ceremony where Pankaj Kapur was seen wearing a black and golden academic robe along with cap and a yellow tassel on his left. The Father-son duo will be seen together in the Hindi remake of ‘Jersey’ which is scheduled to release this year. The film is a sports drama directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri. Kapur has been an all-rounder doing theatre, television and Bollywood after graduating from National School of Drama.
