Not just in 2000 when it released, ‘Hera Pheri’ remains a cult classic, a go-to movie in comedy, even today a good 25 years after it hit the screens. No wonder then fans are eager to wait for its sequel after sequels, ‘Hera Pheri 3’ being the latest addition. The franchises star Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty in lead roles that continue till date. But bad news coming out for fans is that Paresh Rawal has suddenly quit ‘Hera Pheri 3’ as of now, for reasons best known to the cast and crew of the flick. Clearing his stand, Rawal said, “I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from ‘Hera Pheri 3’ was not due to creative differences. I reiterate that there are no creative disagreements with the filmmaker. I hold immense love, respect and faith in Mr Priyadarshan, the film director.” While ‘Hera Pheri’ was directed by Priyadarshan, its sequel, ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ was helmed by the late Neeraj Vora. It was said that Priyadarshan will again take the reins in his hand with the third in the series is tentatively titled ‘Hera Pheri 3’.
