Prachi Desai will be seen portraying the role of India’s ex-cricket captain Mohd Azharuddin’s first wife Naureen in his Bollywood biopic. Azhar and Naureen had an arranged marriage when the latter was barely 16 years old. Speaking about her role in ‘Azhar’, Prachi says, “Naureen belongs to that part of Azhar’s life that not many know about. They do know that she was his first wife but nothing more than that. I feel everyone will be able to connect with this character as I could also relate to it. A lot about their relationship, nine years of marriage which no one knows much about will be seen in this movie.” It is after three long years that Prachi will be seen again on the silver screen with ‘Azhar’.
