AR Rahman was performing live in Pune when the police stopped his concert midway. The music director-singer-performer was on stage, about to wind-up the live concert when the local police intervened and stopped the show, according reports. As this irked the citizens of the city, Pune Police later clarified why they stopped the concert, “Rahman was on his last song, and while singing he did not realize that it was already past 10 pm. So our police official who was at the venue went and conveyed to him the deadline to be followed as per the Supreme Court guidelines. After that he stopped singing.” The crooner though enjoyed his time on stage. “Pune! Thank you for all the love and euphoria last night! It was such a roller coaster concert! No wonder Pune is home to so much classical music! We shall be back soon to sing with you all again!” said Rahman.
