Veteran producer AG Nadiadwala passed away today in his early nineties. Abdul Gaffar Nadiadwala, fondly called as Gaffarbhai by everyone in the industry, breathed his last at Breach Candy Hospital where he was being treated for quite some time. The reason for his death is reported as cardiac arrest. AG Nadiadwala is the father of Firoz Nadiadwala and uncle to Sajid Nadiadwala, both of whom are also famous producers. Condoling his death, Ajay Devgn said, “Deepest condolences on the passing of Shri Gaffarbhai Nadiadwala. My father and he were associates during the golden era of our cinema. My condolences to the Nadiadwala family.” The late producer leaves behind hits like his debut ‘Jhutha Sach’ (1984), and comedy capers like ‘Welcome’, ‘Awaara Pagal Deewana’ and ‘Hera Pheri’.
