They say history repeats itself. And it certainly has when it comes to the music maestro like AR Rahman. After ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ in 2008, Rahman has again been nominated for the prestigious Oscar awards. Rahman is nominated for Oscars in the Original Score category for the film Pele: Birth of a Legend. Oscars, also known as the Academy Awards, will be announced on February 26 next year. So it is going to be a long two-and-a-half months wait before Rahman’s fate is sealed in the envelope. While he won two Oscars for ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, Rahman has been nominated in various categories for ‘127 Hours’, song ‘If I Rise’ and other films like ‘Million Dollar Arm’ and ‘The Hundred-Foot Journey’ in the past.
