Akshay Kumar has confirmed that his upcoming film depicting brother-sister love ‘Raksha Bandhan’, will not miss its release date. It is slated to release on August 11th this year. Hence it is bound to clash with the Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ unless one of the filmmakers decides on a alternate date. Since the time Aamir announced the final date for ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, murmurs were that Akki will take a step back and shift hid film with director Aanand L Rai. But the actor confirmed today as Akshay posted, “Bringing you all a story of the purest form of bond that will remind you of yours! ‘Raksha Bandhan’ releasing in cinemas on August 11, 2022.”. Aamir comes up with one film every few years and ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is being released after an even larger delay due to Covid.
