With excitement building ahead of the ‘Ramayana’ trailer release, the production has secured its first overseas content rating. Australia’s Classification Board has posted information about a 34-minute cut from the Ranbir Kapoor film and awarding it an M rating, which corresponds to Mature content for moderate violence. This means that it will not be suitable for children under the age of 15. This update lands only a few days before the team is expected to unveil the theatrical trailer. In India, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared the trailer with a U rating for Universal viewing. The filmmakers are also preparing two separate trailers, one running for about 4 minutes and the other clocking in at 4 minutes and 15 seconds. Although the trailers are expected to be released next week, the 34-minute material submitted for the Australian review is believed to relate to a different screening and not the theatrical trailer itself. Details of what the clip includes are still unconfirmed, but online discussion suggests it may be the same footage shown earlier at CinemaCon.
