Ranbir Kapoor has into one of his most ambitious roles with ‘Ramayana’ where he portrays Lord Ram. The makers recently revealed his first look, sparking anticipation ahead of the film’s Diwali release. Away from the sets, Kapoor has made headlines for acquiring a plot of land in Ayodhya. The property which measures 2,134 square feet and valued at Rs 3.31 crore is part of a riverside project spread across 75 acres along the river Sarayu. His decision follows Amitabh Bachchan’s earlier investments in the region near Ram Janmbhoomi. Reflecting on the purchase, Ranbir shared, “I believe Ayodhya has chosen me and I have just answered this calling. Ayodhya is deep rooted in our history and is a critical part of our cultural fabric. This land became my gateway to ensuring this becomes a part of my legacy for my family.” As for his film, ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ is scheduled to release during Diwali this year coinciding with Lord Ram’s homecoming in mythology.
