Rani Mukerji has played the fearless female cop in the ‘Mardaani’ series and therefore, understands the plight and efforts of the real men and women in uniform. The cops are out on the streets everywhere guarding people against all odds during the lockdown. Aware of their situation, Rani says, “The world today is fighting its greatest battle against coronavirus. In these difficult times, the heroes who are taking this crisis head on are the frontline workers like medical personnel, brave soldiers and the police force. As a Mumbaikar, I say a big thank you to the Mumbai Police Foundation and to all their families from the bottom of my heart. Their bravery, sacrifice and service will be remembered for years to come.” The actress even featured in a special song dedicated to the police.
