Ranveer Singh became the target of a deep fake video, just like Aamir Khan. Ranveer and Aamir both were seen getting vocal about their political views publicly. While Aamir lodged an FIR in the matter, Ranveer Singh too has chosen the same path in a latest development. A statement issued by Ranveer’s publicist read, “Yes, we have filed a police complaint, and an FIR has been lodged against the handle that was promoting the AI-generated deep fake video of Mr. Ranveer Singh.” The video is reportedly from the actor’s recent visit to Varanasi and seems genuine but the audio is of an AI-enabled voice clone of Ranveer. After it went viral, Ranveer himself had said, “Deepfake se bacho, doston (Stay away from the deep fakes, friends).” The actor is busy with big projects like ‘Singham Again’, ‘Don 3: The Final Chapter’, ‘Shaktimaan’ among others.
