Veteran actress Rekha was a heartthrob for many. From 1970’s till the end of the 1980s, she ruled the box office and gave many hits. No wonder then she’s still praised for her outstanding roles and acting. Still an icon in her own right, esteemed fashion and lifestyle magazine Vogue Arabia has featured her on its cover. In an interview to the magazine, Rekha revealed why she has been away from acting for almost a decade now, “Whether I make films or not, it never leaves me. I have my memories to relive what I love. And when the time is right, the right project will find me. I choose where I want to be and where I don’t want to be. I am so blessed to have earned the right to choose what I love. And to have the luxury to simply say no.” Rekha’s last full-fledged role was in ‘Super Nani’, which released in 2014. Since then, the actress has stayed away from taking any lead roles.
