Ram Gopal Varma has decided to explore Sanjay Dutt’s arrest in the 1993 Bombay blasts case and for possessing an AK-56 rifle with a film which is tentatively titled ‘Sanju: The Real Story’. Rajkumar Hirani’s biopic on Sanjay Dutt, ‘Sanju’, was criticized for creating a positive image of the actor and barely exploring his arrest story. However, RGV promises to bring forth Dutt’s journey of possessing the arms. The filmmaker is apparently meeting several ex-associates of Sanjay Dutt and also the police officers who had investigated the case back then and had questioned him, as part of research for the film. The director is yet to announce the cast though.
