Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30th after fighting leukemia for nearly two years. While his immediate family members were able to attend the actor’s last rites, Rishi’s daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni couldn’t make it on time to reach the crematorium. Due to the lockdown in the country, Riddhima had to take special permission from the concerned authorities before she could reach Mumbai by road from Delhi which is a good 1,400 kms / 36-hour drive. She took to Instagram and conveyed this message, “Thank you everyone for your prayers and thoughts,” after all the rituals were over. Riddhima had also shared a black and white throwback picture of her father Rishi with his mother Krishna Raj Kapoor, which was liked by fans of the Kapoor family.
