‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ became the late Rishi Kapoor’s last film when the actor passed away before completing the project. After his untimely passing, Paresh Rawal stepped in and plays the same character in-between. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of this film ever since the project was announced. ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ will release on Amazon Prime Video on March 31st this year. This will be an exclusive global premiere on the streaming platform which will be visible in 240 countries and territories. Apart from Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal, ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ features Juhi Chawla and Satish Kaushik among other actors. The film is directed by Hitesh Bhatia and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, who said, “The movie is our tribute to Rishi Kapoor’s commanding stardom and charm.”
