Rishi Kapoor had been shooting for ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ in Delhi before the lockdown was announced. Unfortunately, he succumbed to cancer on April 30th. However, the makers of ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ are determined for a theatrical release of his last film. Rishi had reportedly shot for major portions of the film in Delhi, with just a four-day schedule pending. This will now be wrapped-up with the help of VFX. ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ features Juhi Chawla and is directed by Hitesh Bhatia. The veteran actor returned to India in September 2019, after receiving extensive treatment for leukaemia in New York. The film had gone on the floors in December. During its Delhi schedule, Rishi Kapoor was hospitalised due to pneumonia.
