Saif Ali Khan has signed up to play a role in a gritty real-life drama based on the life of Indian national Uzma Ahmed who fell in love with a Pakistani taxi driver in Malaysia. She followed her love to Pakistan and realized that he was married. Uzma was still forced to marry him at gun point after being kidnapped. India’s former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had helped Uzma escape from Pakistan in 2017. Saif will play an Indian diplomat in the narrative and will don a different avatar for the movie. The makers are actively looking for the female lead to play the strong character in this tale on silver screen.
