At the electrifying teaser launch of ‘KD – The Devil’ in Mumbai, the spotlight wasn’t just on the film’s gritty visuals – it was on Sanjay Dutt who stirred up buzz with a revelation that has cinephiles intrigued. Come December 5th, Dutt will be seen in not one, but two major releases – ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘The Raja Saab’. The unexpected scheduling overlap has sparked speculation about a box office showdown but Dutt’s response was refreshingly grounded, “It’s amazing because I am playing two different kinds of roles. In ‘Dhurandhar’, the character I am playing is poles apart compared to the role I have in ‘The Raja Saab’. Every film has a journey. Nevertheless, I am blessed that I could do so many characters.” His words reflect not concern, but pride in his artistic range. While ‘The Raja Saab’ had locked in its release date earlier, ‘Dhurandhar’s’ recent announcement has added a layer of cinematic tension – one that fans are eager to see play out on the big screen.
