Stars gifting expensive items to their friends in Bollywood is nothing new. Vidhu Vinod Chopra had gifted a swanky new luxury Rolls Royce to Amitabh Bachchan when the latter had refused remuneration for ‘Eklavya: The Royal Guard’ in 2007. On similar lines, director Sanjay Gupta has now gifted his good friend John Abraham a pick-up truck. Sanjay booked a Isuzu V-Cross D-Max pick-up truck for John recently as token of appreciation. This would have set Gupta back by almost Rs 20 lakh, although he is cheerful, “John and I are really passionate about bikes and cars. When I noticed that he doesn’t have the Isuzu D-Max in his collection, I decided to gift him one.” It’s a known fact that Sanjay and John both are highly fond of big boys’ toys.
