After an unfortunate and controversial fallout with Salman Khan on ‘Inshallah’, director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali is finally coming up with a new movie. Since Alia Bhatt was retained from the original cast of ‘Inshallah’, she will feature in this new SLB film as well, which is titled ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. The film, portraying prostitute Gangubai, will be in co-production with Jayantilal Gada’s Pen India Ltd. As if this was not enough, Bhansali has even gone a step ahead and has announced the scheduled release date of the film. Still in search of the male lead, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is expected to release on 11th September 2020. This means that the director is in no mood to compete with Salman Khan for his Eid 2020 release.
