Shah Rukh Khan honored

The University of Law, London has bestowed upon Shah Rukh Khan the Honorary Doctorate in philanthropy on April 4. The felicitation took place at the university’s graduation ceremony comprising around 350 students at the Barbican Centre in London. Shah Rukh has already received Honorary Doctorate from The University of Bedfordshire and another one from The University of Edinburgh in the past. Confirming the latest news, The University of Law tweeted, “Our next Honorary Doctorate goes to actor, producer and philanthropist Shah Rukh Khan, in recognition of his work in championing human rights, access to justice and crime reduction,” to which SRK reciprocated saying, “Thank you for the honour and my best wishes to the graduating students.” The star has been associated with many charitable and social organisations, including Pulse Polio and National AIDS Control Organisation for the government, Make-A-Wish Foundation and Meer Foundation.
