If all goes well then Amitabh Bachchan’s 1988 hit ‘Shahenshah’ will be back in the news soon. The Tinnu Anand directed film is being considered for a remake and the Indian Motion Pictures Producers’ Association (IMPPA) has received the title registration request. Producer Sangeeta Ahir has registered ‘Shahenshah’ with the film body and is contemplating remaking this flick after officially purchasing the rights. Ironically, Sangeeta is also the one who is in the process of remaking Bachchan’s other film, ‘Satte Pe Satta’. As reported earlier, ‘Satte Pe Satta’ remake was pitched to Salman Khan while Kabir Khan was to direct the same. It must be noted here that Bachchan’s past films like ‘Don’ and ‘Agneepath’ have been successful remakes.
